Hi! I’m KIMBER!

Kimber is a lovely dog that had an unfortunate start in life. Her luck turned around when she was taken in by a family who started her healing process. Kimber was about 20 lbs underweight and unsocialized. She could still benefit from gaining about 10 more lbs but she is well on her way to being at a healthy weight.

In the month that she has been with the wonderful people that saved her, she has proven her intelligence and trust. She came to their home so scared of everything and everyone and has grown a lot in a short amount of time. Kimber is amazing with humans and is now crate trained, potty trained, non-destructive, knows “sit”, and recalls well. She bathes great and is good for nail trims. Kimber isn’t fond of brushing yet but allows it.

She is very loyal and will bond strongly with her people. Kimber’s only issue is that she does not do well with other female dogs… She *might* do okay with a male, non-dominant canine companion as she hasn’t started any fights with the male dogs in the household. Due to being starved, she does show food aggression to other dogs but not to people.

Kimber has done well with the cats in the home but does enjoy the chase if the kitties run. She hasn’t shown any desire to hurt them though. She has also checked out the family horse in the pasture and was very calm about it.

This sweet pupper has a lot of potential and has shown she can thrive in a healthy environment. It always amazes us how animals can blossom when shown love and stability.

Kimber is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and is scheduled for her spay surgery.
