So, who’s looking for a new best friend to enjoy hiking and share the great outdoors with? If this might be you, Silver would love to step up to the job.

Silver is completely housebroken and crate trained- he actually loves the security of his crate. Being a youngish Heeler mix, Silver will need a home that stimulates his brain and keeps his body active as he does become bored easily and has lots of good energy. He has had a little exposure to cats and livestock, so with proper introductions, would most likely do fine. Silver does enjoy the company of other non-dominant canines. He would love a canine brother or sister. His obedience training could use a little fine-tuning as he does sometimes jump up on people when excited and pulls a bit on leash. He also likes to “boop” you with his nose to get your attention and typical of a heeler, he can be a little mouthy. He’s a smart guy though and would soak up the training.

This boy is the perfect package- he is strikingly handsome, well mannered, very intelligent, a great walking companion, and a dedicated snuggler. What more could anyone ask for in a best friend? Silver really craves human companionship and would do best with an owner that can dedicate lots of time to him. He can be a little snippy with young children so we do recommend a home with older children.

Silver is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
