RONAN — Labrador Retriever/Pitbull X — Male — 4 Y
“Incredible!” “Sweet!” “What a dog!” These are the words we have been hearing to describe this handsome fella. Picked up as a stray on Seitz Ronan Road by a kind lady who was so scared he was going to get hit. As she handed this dog over to the Sheriff’s department she told them that she fell in love with him in a matter of minutes and would like to adopt if not claimed. The girls at the county holding facility talked about how sweet this boy was …. then he came straight to Rimrock Humane Society’s veterinary clinic and the girls there were extolling how wonderful of a dog this was! Holy cow! We figured someone had to be missing this incredible boy so we did an all out search of the area and the surrounding businesses, local police, shelters …. we did not find an owner.
Ronan needed to be neutered, had some broken canines that had to be bonded and sealed plus a small cyst on his left hip removed. Once that was all completed, we called his kind Samaritan who found him and she brought him home on a trial run a few weekends ago. Unfortunately their small dogs did not like Ronan at all (he was fine with them) but we did discover that he was good with other dogs and seemed to do ok with cats. They adored him saying he was so easy going and playful and sweet and wonderful…. but with their little dogs being fearful they thought they better bring him back. Being we didn’t have a foster home at the time … he went back to our vet clinic. We have had more interest in him but nothing has panned out for this great guy. What the heck? He has such an amazing temperament we figure he should do fine with older children. Loves to play and have fun (see video below) but will also be your snuggle bunny!
Is there anyone out there who would like to give this 97 lb hunk of love a new forever home?? House broke, neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped … please help us find this amazing boy a furever home!
