LOUISE – AIREDALE – FEMALE – 1 YEAR OLD?

Hi! I’m LOUISE!

We were contacted by some kind folks about Louise, and what we are guessing is her mother, Thelma, as they had been hanging around their home for a few days and sleeping under their deck. Both girls had faces and feet full of porcupine quills. We have sedated them to remove quills three times as they festered out, and (fingers crossed) hope that they are now quill-free.

We were surprised that no one ever came forward looking for these two.

Louise is a happy girl but is a bit on the shy side. She would likely do well with a companion doggo to help her come out of her shell. She is a bit interested in kitties but it’s hard to tell if she’s just playing off of Thelma’s energy so how she would do with cats is an unknown.

These girls do not act like they have been abused, but definitely were neglected, as they have no manners and are not potty-trained.

We feel it is important that these ladies go to Airedale-savvy homes as they are “a lot” and very typical Airedales. We also feel it is best that they are adopted separately so they will bond more easily with their new families.

Louise has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and now groomed. She was concerned with the whole grooming experience but our groomer is very patient and compassionate and kept the appointment stress-free for Louise. She never snapped or showed aggression, even though it was a whole new thing for her.
