LILLY – Afghan Mix – Female – 6 Y

Hi! I'm LILLY!

Hi! I’m LILLY!

Isn’t she beautiful? Lilly was adopted from the Rimrock Humane Society about 5 years ago. She was found as a 5 month old puppy up in the Pryor Mountains — a small lump of skin and bones … we had her for 5 months and then her family adopted her when she was 10 months old. Lilly is now 6 years young and her family has divorced and she has found herself going from a house with a large yard to an apartment and she is just not making the adjustment well at all. Her demeanor is changing and many behaviors are popping up that she has not had before. Her momma just doesn’t believe she can offer her the proper home life and activity level that Lilly is so accustomed too!

Super sweet girl who does well with children and other dogs. Lilly is doing great with the cats in the foster home! Wants to smell your face if you are someone new and will snuggle but it kind of has to be her idea. Walks super on leash — can be off leash but being a sight hound she gets distracted easily. A firm “Lilly Ann” will get her attention re-directed. Lilly will alarm bark when a big truck goes by or when someone knocks on the door. She will do a high pitched bark if she needs something from her owner (like going outside). Crated when alone during the day due to an attraction to shadows and light. Lilly is obsessed and can destroy something wherever the flickering lights or moving shadows are. Does great outside of crate at night — likes to jump in bed to say goodnight, might lay down for a little bit, but then jumps down. Lilly requires grain free food due to being prone for kidney stones. Never had an issue so far but the owner has kept her diet strictly grain free and no table scraps. As is common in many spayed females, Lilly takes 50 mg of Proin 2 x a day in order to prevent her spay incontinence.

Spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. This girl really needs a big yard with an active owner who can keep up with her activity level. Lilly is now being fostered in Billings, MT.
