***ADOPTED!*** LILAH – DSH Grey Tabby – Female – 1-1/2 Y
Howdy folks … Lilah here! I’m a beautiful gray tabby girl who just needs a furever home to make my life complete. I’ve been hanging here with my Foster Mom (FM), her two cats, her dog and my sister for such a very long time. I love my FM but her cats are kind of snooty and, while we don’t fight or anything like that, we don’t get along too well either. I really want a place just for me and maybe for my sister (more on her below). Don’t you think six months is a long enough time to be waiting? That’s right …we have been with the Rimrock Humane Society since March!
My FM calls me Lie-Lie or sometimes Lilah-Boop (my sister is Bettie so we get called Bettie-Boop and Lilah-Boop). I’m a sweet-tempered, beautiful, full-figured cat who is just the teeniest bit lazy. I prefer to spend my days sleeping somewhere off the ground. FM put a towel on top of the washer and that is my current favorite spot but I will also sit next to you or in your lap and purr whenever you want. I love to head bump to show I want to be loved on and I’ll follow you around or sit on the counter when you’re in the kitchen because I like being near people. I am very partial to food and treats. If you adopt me, FM will tell you which ones I love best.
FM says I have the switchiest tail she’s ever seen. I always walk around with it straight in the air and switch it from side to side especially when I’m getting pets and scritches. It’s a full tail switch, too, none of that tip of the tail only switching for me. I think of it as my signature move.
On a separate note, I’m very timid about going outdoors. I followed FM out to the garbage can one day and got so scared when I realized I was outside I ran up a tree. I got so high in the tree I was scared to come down. I like being up off the ground but not THAT high off. So I really, really need to be an indoor only cat.
I’m fostered with my sister, Bettie. We’ve always lived together and, while I’m very sweet and laid-back, Bettie has lots of cattitude. The thing is Bettie wants to be an indoor/outdoor cat so you’d have to be able to accommodate her walk-about nature. She looks so much like me people say we could be twins and some can’t tell us apart very easily but I like her a lot so, if you liked her, too, maybe we could come as a pair. It would be nice if we found a home together but FM says we’d be just fine if we got different homes.
So, who’s ready to have me (and maybe my sister) come live with them forever and ever or at least for the next decade or so? If you adopt both of us, FM says a home in the country or in a quiet neighborhood without busy streets would be best for Bettie. For me alone, I’ll be happy anywhere I can get loved on every day.
Litter trained, spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped –iIf you are looking for a laid-back, easy-going, sweet-natured, mature, couch potato kind of cat, I’m your girl!
