Hi! I’m DIXIE!

We were contacted by a kind person who took Dixie in when her owner was threatening to put her down. This is a classic situation of where a person gets a puppy that is a completely wrong fit for their lifestyle.

McNab are high-energy, extremely intelligent working dogs. Poor Dixie was relegated to life mostly in a crate as her elderly owner couldn’t deal with her energy. We don’t know how she does with other dogs or cats as she likely wasn’t exposed to much.

Dixie is a very sweet girl who knows a few commands and is potty-trained. She is timid and it is suspected that she was treated roughly. She learns quickly and would love to have a “job” and an active life that stimulates her brain and body.

The person that saved Dixie cannot keep her. We are urgently looking for a home for this pup- if not a permanent home, a foster home would be great as well. Please, if you can offer Dixie a soft place to land send us a private message.

We are in the process of finding out if she is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. All necessary vet work will be covered in Dixie’s adoption fee.
