***ADOPTION PENDING!*** BLUE – Husky X – Male – 1 Y
Blue was an unclaimed stray – found running on Thiel Road in Laurel and picked up on 7/26. No one came forward so into our program he went and we are continuously amazed at the incredible dogs we get in as strays – Blue is no exception.
Look at those eyes! So intense and beautiful (he prefers the word handsome!) Those peepers make our hearts go pitter pat! Blue is now in an awesome foster home and this is what his foster mom has to say about him:
Zoomie for a name would fit him best! Medium size with slick coat so not a heavy shedder at all. Very smart, observant and friendly – super eager to please and a fast learner! Fun to train! Chews his food well — is not a gulper. Blue is high energy and craves attention — he will try and share his toy with you (stick it in your face) and then tell you all about it (he has that husky talk ability). His front legs won’t stay on the ground and that is the current project foster mom is working on — teaching him not to jump up. He has had some training as he knew sit and will stay and then come on command. Got along well with other dogs when he was in county lock up. We have not exposed him to cats. Probably be fine with older kids but because of his exuberance, will knock toddlers over. He would love another canine friend to play with or maybe some young sturdy kids to keep him occupied. 🙂
Housebroke (knows how to use a dog door), neutered, wormed, up to date on shots and microchipped. This blue eyed wonder is going to make someone an amazing companion — talk about a great running/walking partner! Who needs a high priced gym membership? 🙂 Blue is ready for you!
