Hi! I’m BALOU!

What a handsome potato this big boy is! Mr. Balou tips the scales at 110 but don’t let his size fool you- he is a big gentle teddy bear. Balou loves people and does well with children. He does fine with other dogs, when properly introduced but is a little too interested in kitty chasing to be trusted with cats…

Balou is potty-trained and has had some crate-training experience in his youth. He knows some commands but his hearing can sometimes be selective unless treats are involved. This boy is definitely treat and food motivated. Balou needs some work on leash manners as he does like to pull and could use some time spent working on socialization.

His bark is very impressive and he uses it to protect his people. Once someone is in the home though, he turns into a big sweet mush. Balou is a sensitive fellow and things he perceives as conflict, such as his human siblings wrestling make him nervous. Balloons, balls, fireworks, and going to the doctor are scary things for him.

Balou loves attention and will whine and cry at you if he feels like he is being ignored.

He is a wonderful listener and you can tell by his eyes and reactions that he is hanging on your every word.

Balou is neutered and will have his vaccinations and microchip placed prior to his adoption.
