Hi! We’re ANNABELLE & SOPHIE!

Through no fault of their own, or their previous loving owner, sweet senior girls Annabelle and Sophie find themselves in need of a new home.

These sisters have only known one home in their lives prior to coming into rescue but they have adjusted quite well into life in their wonderful foster home. They get along well with the two other small doggos in the house.

Annabelle is the larger of the two at 18 lbs. and is the more outgoing and social of the ladies. She is very food motivated and never met a meal she didn’t love.

Sophie, the smaller sibling, is 12 lbs. And is a shy little thing. She gains her confidence from her sister Annabelle. Little Sophie only has three teeth and prefers soft food. We’ve struggled to find a food that she really enjoys but think we’ve finally hit upon a good one.

Although these pups are approaching their twilight years you’d never know it. They live for their two walks a day and go two miles at a time exploring all the sniffs and sights in their paths. They absolutely need to go to a home that will give Annabelle and Sophie the physical and mental stimulation that their daily walks provide.

As old gals, they do need to go out to potty frequently. They haven’t really grooved with utilizing the doggy door at their foster home and aren’t great at signaling the need to go out so their person needs to be attuned to letting them out every few hours. They also expect a treat whenever they do their business. Sophie has to be coaxed, then she will run out and pee. She almost always waits for her walks to poop. Annabelle does give subtle clues and will stare, but she also does that for treats, so expect some accidents in the beginning until everyone gets in tune.

The girls seem to prefer the company of their foster dad more than foster mom-even though she is equally as amazing as he is. They follow him everywhere and love cuddling with him. When foster dad is around, foster mom becomes chopped liver… Ha ha!

Annabelle and Sophie are crate trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. They also had dentals and bloodwork done recently. They are in good health.

We are waiving the adoption fee for these lovely seniors. They are truly bonded and absolutely need to be adopted together.
