Have a Large Dog?
Let's "Git-R-Done"!!

As we reported on March 14, 2005, the Rimrock Humane Society was awarded a grant for $5,000 from the DJ & T Foundation to assist with low cost spay/neuters in Musselshell County. Of this $5,000, $1,500 had to go towards small dogs & cats that weigh less than 45 lbs and the remainder, $3,500, was to be used for dogs who weigh over 45 lbs.

As of this writing, all of the $1,500 has been utilized so we will no longer be able to assist with the spaying or neutering of cats or small dogs in this community. We still have LOTS of money left over in the $3,500 category, however, and want to urge those owners who have a dog over 45# to please give us a call and get that animal spayed or neutered.

We cannot reapply for a new grant until this $3,500 is used up so it is imperative that we get as many of these larger dogs done as possible. To those people who have cats and small dogs that they want to get altered, we suggest you roundup all of your friends and family who have large dogs and encourage them to get them spayed/neutered so we can reapply again soon. It is up to all of us, as a community, to “git-r-done” and be responsible about our pets.

Call us today, make a donation of any monetary amount you can afford and get your large dog altered, it is that simple. Contact us at 406-323-3687, Rimrock Humane Society.
