Name: Earl
Breed: DSH Black & White "Jellicle" Cat
Sex: Male Age: 3 mos.
Stray Date: 08/31/11
ISo ... are you up on your T.S. Eliot? Do you know what a Jellicle cat is? Might want to Google it! (= Mr. Earl here is actually very lucky to even be walking this earthly plane. He and his sister were found out in the wilds when they were just 3 weeks old. Weak, dehydrated and not doing well at all, the Rimrock Humane Society's fabulous foster home and veterinarians worked so very hard to save these precious lives ... Earl was lucky and got stronger, his sister lost her valant fight after a week of some pretty fabulous TLC lavished on her by our caregivers. Heartbreaking! We believe that Earl knows he is one lucky kitty and he lives life in a HUGE way ... enjoys and savors every moment of every day and is just about the cutest dang kitty we have ever met! Our nickname for him is "Earl the Pearl" ... because he is such a precious gem of a kitten! When we asked our foster home to best describe this boy here is what they said, "Goofy, sweet, rocket fast, sweet, funny, active, sweet, playful, crazy, sweet, nutzoid, sneaky, curious, zippy, sweet, and cute!" Hmmm ... do you think that Earl might be sweet? This boy was not only raised by humans but by dogs as well! The foster home had an older female dog who took Earl under her "paw" and would lick him and care for him as a kitten. That means, this kitty is very trusting of dogs and thinks he is one of them so the new home, if there are dogs present, will have to have canines who get along with cats. There is no doubt that Earl will get along with the dogs! We believe he has the most beautiful markings with the little dot of black on his nose and the goatee on his chin! Earl has had excellent veterinary care since the moment he hit our door ... feline leukemia negative, wormed and up to date on shots. Will be neutered soon as well and is wonderfully litter trained (he has always been a very clean kitten). Truly, you will not meet a more engaging feline ... who couldn't use a little love, entertainment and laughter in their lives? Earl will most certainly deliver!

Name: Sadie
Breed: DSH Tabby
Sex: Female Age: 1-1/2 Y
Owner Turn In Date: 02/16/11
Sadie and her sister Gidget were born into Rimrock Humane Society after their expectant mother was rescued in the spring of 2010 (their momma is Kitzi). They were adopted as kittens, but due to a family member’s health issues (allergies) they were returned to us. What sweet kitties. They "star" on the RHS calendar with their littermates in May, and Gidget steals the whole show in October. These two came to a foster home with several other cats and three dogs. Within a couple of days they blended right in with all the critters and stole the hearts of the four human family members. We would love for these two best friends/sisters to be adopted together, but we also believe that they will do fine if they are separated. Sweet Sadie loves to be in on the action. She watches movies, reads books, and sips tea with her foster people. This usually starts with her jumping into a lap and eventually moving to the top of the chair back where she enjoys hanging out. She is very playful and helps with house projects. For a while, she sported a white patch of paint from a session of trim painting. Hammers don’t faze her, and she curiously watches the vacuum from just a foot or two away. This girl is litter trained, spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped - Sadie is outgoing and greets others with her plump, curled tail held high. She is a delightful, friendly girl who will make her new family fall in love.

Name: Abby
Breed: DSH Manx Flame Point Siamese
Sex: Female Age: 7 Y
Owner Turn In Date: 02/03/11
Isn't she gorgeous? Ms. Abby has been living at Shiloh Veterinary Hospital for many months now and we all wish for her a forever home that she can call her own! We would consider her "special needs" ... Abby's bladder periodically becomes inflamed which can cause crystals and blood in her urine. She will need to stay on her special Science Diet C/D food to help prevent the crystals and also the Chondroflex Joint Capsules which control the inflammation of the urethra and bladder. Even with these precautions, she can still periodically develop some inflammation and blood so she is given Buprenorphine for the pain and it usually passes within a day or two. This is not life threatening and very managable - Abby's owner did not want to deal with this and that is why she is now living at the vet clinic. )= There is no doubt that this is one very beautiful kitty. Spayed, up to date on shots and tipping the scales at 11 lbs. - Abby's perfect home will be quiet with no other kitties - she seems to get stressed easily with lots of activity. We promised Abby that we would try very hard to find a new forever home for her ... although she is treated like royalty at the vet clinic ... a home of her own would be so much more preferable!

Name: Bones
Breed: DLH Agouti Tabby
Sex: Female Age: 11 Y
Stray Date: 01/22/11
**********COURTESY LISTING - PLEASE CONTACT RESCUE PERSON BELOW***********
As you can see by the BEFORE photo of Bones, she was brought in as a stray and was close to death. She was not only a skeleton but was missing hair, very matted and in very rough shape. Bones would have died if left at the shelter so she was rescued by Ellen and with lots of kindness, love & great care, she is flourishing. After Bones was in her foster home for special care and still was not gaining enough weight, she was tested and diagnosed with a Hyper thyroid. She is doing great now and has gained a ton of weight! The medication is very easy to give her only twice a day by rubbing it on her ear. She doesn't mind it at all! Bones would like a quiet home with no other cats but a small dog might be OK. She loves to sit on your lap and purrs up a storm. She is declawed, uses her litter box perfectly and does not mind spending time by herself but she is always very happy to see you!! She is spayed and has all her shots. Bones is an older cat but is in great health as long as she gets her daily medication. It would be hard to find a sweeter cat than Miss Bones! ***IF INTERESTED, PLEASE CALL ELLEN AT 406-698-4661***

Name: Sly
Breed: DMH Black & White
Sex: Male Age: 1 Y
Owner Turn In Date: 10/21/10
Those tufts in them thar ears make us smile for sure! What a handsome fella with his tuxedo coloring, black nose and Sly has these little black pads on his feet. You can watch his video and see how sweetly he plays and is just enjoying life in general. These kittens were surrenderd to us the end of September but fairly shy so did not offer them up for adoption for well over a month. They are now NOT shy at all, in fact, very much the opposite - they have all come full circle and are loving, adoring kittens. YAY! Sure does the heart good to see Sly so happy and well adjusted. This good lookin' boy is now neutered, feline leukemia negative, microchipped, and up to date on shots. You truly cannot appreciate this kitten without meeting him in person so you can hold him and have him purr in your ear. Call us today for an appointment!
